Recruitment Overview
The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has released Advertisement Notification No. 15 of 2025 dated 31 December 2025 for Constable posts in J&K Police, Home Department. This recruitment drive invites online applications for UT Cadre posts under direct recruitment.

Salary Structure
Both posts fall under Pay Level-2 with pay scale:
₹19,900 – ₹63,200
Selected candidates will receive salary as per J&K Government rules including applicable allowances.
Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Constable (Telecommunication)
- 10+2 with Science
Constable (Photographer)
- 10+2 with Science
- 6 months Computer Course from recognized institute
- 2 years experience in Photography/Videography and handling digital camera from recognized institute

Ex-Servicemen can deduct their service period from actual age, provided final age does not exceed maximum limit by more than 3 years.
Reservation & Horizontal Quota
- 15% Horizontal Reservation for Women candidates.
- 15% for SPOs.
- 4% for Volunteer Home Guards.
- Horizontal reservation applicable for Ex-Servicemen.
- PwBD candidates are not eligible.

Physical Standards & Endurance Test
Physical Standard Test (PST)

- Male Chest: 32” unexpanded, 33½” expanded
- Female Height: 5’2”
Physical Endurance Test (PET)
Male:
- 1600m race in 6½ minutes
- 20 pushups
Female:
- 1000m race in 6½ minutes
- Shot Put 4kg: 14½ feet
