Recruitment Overview

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has released Employment Notification No. 01/2026 dated 24 February 2026 for recruitment of 13 posts of Statutory Manpower on contractual basis. These positions are for operation and maintenance of Pachhwara Central Coal Block Open Cast Project located at Amrapara, District Pakur, Jharkhand.

The engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of 03 years from the date of joining. The selected candidates will work in mining operations spread across District Pakur, Jharkhand.

Eligibility Criteria & Experience

Nationality

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification & Experience (Summary)

  • Manager: Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering with 1st Class Manager’s Certificate under Coal Mines Regulations 1957/2017. Experience: 2 years (Degree) or 5 years (Diploma) in opencast coal mine.
  • Assistant Manager: Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering with 1st/2nd Class Manager Certificate. Experience ranges from 1 year to 12 years depending on qualification.
  • Colliery Engineer: Degree in Mechanical/Mining Machinery (7 years experience) OR Electrical Engineering (4 years experience).
  • Surveyor: Diploma with DGMS Surveyor Certificate (1 year experience) OR Matric with 5 years experience.
  • Overman: Diploma in Mining Engineering with DGMS Overman Certificate and 1 year experience OR Matric with 5 years experience.
  • Mining Sirdar: Matric with Diploma in Mining Engineering and valid DGMS certificates including Gas Testing and First Aid. Experience: 1 or 3 years depending on qualification.

Experience must be post-qualification only and certificate must be issued in DGMS format.


Age Limit & Cut-Off Rules

Maximum age varies by post:

  • Manager – 55 years
  • Assistant Manager – 40 years (Degree), 45 years (Diploma/Matric)
  • Colliery Engineer – 40 years
  • Surveyor – 40 or 45 years (depending on qualification)
  • Overman – 40 or 45 years
  • Mining Sirdar – 40 years

Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026. Date of Birth must match Matric certificate or Birth certificate.


Monthly Remuneration & Benefits

The selected candidates will receive monthly consolidated remuneration. Additional benefits include:

  • House Rent Allowance @ 10% of monthly consolidated remuneration if accommodation not availed.
  • 10 days casual leave per year.
  • Night shift allowance up to Rs. 1200 per month (Rs. 120 per shift, maximum 10 shifts).
  • Annual enhancement @ 3% on consolidated remuneration based on performance.
  • CMPF Contribution: 12% PF + 7% Pension (both employee and employer share).
  • Security deduction equal to 1 month salary recovered in 10 instalments.
  • Medical Health Insurance (Family) and Term Life Insurance (Self) reimbursement annually.

Selection Process & Merit Preparation

Selection will be purely on merit basis based on percentage of marks in Degree/Diploma/Matric.

Preference Order:

  • Degree holders preferred
  • Then Diploma holders
  • Then Matriculation candidates

In case of tie in marks, older candidate will be placed higher in merit.

  • Legal jurisdiction: District Courts at Patiala only.
  • PSPCL reserves right to increase/decrease vacancies.
